Tour Description/Daily Itinerary:
After a deluxe private dome rail car trip from Los Angeles to Monterey, explore three California National Parks - Yosemite, Sequoia Redwoods, and Kings Canyon. Visit the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, Carmel's Scenic 17 Mile Drive, and John Steinbeck's boyhood home.

DAY 1 - Fly to Los Angeles
Fly to LAX International Airport and transfer to your Los Angeles downtown hotel. Free time to visit the Disney Performing Arts Center or Cathedral of the Angels. Millennium Biltmore or similar, Los Angeles, CA

DAY 2 - Train to Monterey
After transferring to LA’s Union Station, board our deluxe private dome train car and ride the rails north to Monterey. En route enjoy gourmet meals including wine and cocktails. Arrive in Salinas in the evening and transfer to your Monterey Bay hotel. Embassy Suites, Monterey, CA (L,D)

DAY 3 - Monterey & Carmel
This morning, visit the world famous Monterey Aquarium with free time at Cannery Row. This afternoon, motor along scenic 17 Mile Drive with a stop in Pacific Grove, at Pebble Beach Lodge, and at Lone Cypress Point. DAY 4 - Monterey to Coarsegold
Motor east to Salinas, lettuce capital of the world and boyhood home of author John Steinbeck. Visit the National Steinbeck Center, dedicated to the life and works of one of America's most endearing authors. Enjoy a home-cooked lunch at the original house of young Steinbeck. Then drive to the town of Coarsegold and your deluxe Indian gaming casino. Chukchansi Casino, Coarsegold, CA (B,L,D)

DAY 5 - Day Trip to Yosemite National Park
Spend a full day exploring one of America’s truly great natural wonders - Yosemite National Park. Enjoy a tour of the Valley floor with stops at Yosemite Falls, El Capitan, and Half Dome Rock. Stop at world famous Ahwahnee Lodge for an included lunch before returning to your hotel for free time. Chukchansi Casino, Coarsegold, CA (B,L)

DAY 6 - Coarsegold to Tulare
Motor into the Sierra Nevada Mountains along scenic General’s Highway. Visit Kings Canyon National Park and marvel at the 6,000-foot deep granite canyon carved by the Kings River. Stop for a picnic lunch at Grant Grove, home to General Grant Tree & Fallen Monarch. Then arrive at Sequoia National Park to visit the Giant Forest, home of the General Sherman Tree. Later, arrive at your hotel in Tulare before departing for your Farewell Dinner. Best Western Tulare or similar, Tulare, CA (B,L,D)

DAY 7 - Tulare to Los Angeles
Return by coach to the Central Valley as we make our way back to Southern California. Arrive mid day at LAX airport for your return flights home. (B)

NOTE: This tour involves high altitude day visits to Sequoia & King’s Cyn (6,800 feet) but no overnights here. It is advisable to check with your doctor if you are affected by high altitude.
